Electron Cyclotron Resonance Ion sources (ECR), Electron Beam Ion Traps and Sources (EBIT/S), high precision spectroscopy of forbidden (coronal) transitions, plasma physics and diagnostics, multiply charged ion beam extraction, ion beam dynamics and diagnostics, highly charged ion beam modification of materials.
