Opportunities in the NIST Physical Measurement Laboratory (PML)

In the program sponsored by NIST, a Research Associate is a researcher and a temporary employee of NIST. Associateships are analogous to fellowships or similar temporary programs at the postdoctoral level in universities and other organizations. They are not intended to be, or to compete with, permanent professional career positions.

Associates must devote their full-time effort to the research program proposed in their applications and must be in residence at the NIST Physical Measurement Laboratory during the entire period of the Associateship. No period of tenure may be spent in residence at another laboratory or institution.

The website below contains abstracts, or opportunities for research that describe areas of research in which Associateships may be awarded at NIST in the Physical Measurement Laboratory.
