Open Menu

'Open' menu displays the open file interface which allows the user to load a single data file in sdf format to the system for analysis. The user can upload his/her own data file or use a reference data set provided by NIST.

To upload a data file to the system, the user needs to click on the 'Browse' button, which displays a File Open dialog. The user then needs to change the sdf data file format from the "Files of type' combo box for file selection. Finally, the 'Open' button below the 'Browse' button must be clicked to load the data file to the system.

To load a reference data file stored in the system, select one of the sample files within 'Reference Data Set' box and click on the 'Open' button below the 'Reference Data Set' box.

Note: The reference data set shown on the 'Open' menu is a subset of the data set stored in the database. For more reference data files, please go to the database.

To download a raw data file:
1. Click on the floppy disk icon and the Save dialog will display. It will ask the user where a zip file will be saved.
2. When the zip file is opened, the user will see data files in XML, DTD, and SDF data format.

This picture shows the Open File screen. It shows an example of how the sinusoidal profile was loaded to the system.
