Approximately 8000 new references have been added. Many old references have been corrected. The bibliography database has been integrated with the Atomic Spectra Database. The Web interface has been enhanced by inclusion of direct links to online articles and Digital Object Identifiers in the bibliographic references. An option to search for references on isotopes has been added to the search form. Search for authors has been modified, enabling a search for publications using incomplete author names (e.g., without the suffixes "Jr.", "Sr.", or using only a fragment of the author's last name).
All database records have been converted to a new system based on MySQL. Many old references have been corrected. The Web interface and the system of search key words have been simplified. A procedure allowing for automatic daily updates of the database Web page has been implemented.
Approximately 7900 references, dating from 1939 through 2002, have been converted from several separate NIST internal databases and NBS Special Publication 363 to a file-based system. A Web interface has been designed, implementing the data search using keywords for the research topics defined in the previously published Bibliography on Atomic Energy Levels and Spectra, NBS Special Publication 363.
