ABSTRACTS DEADLINE : January 15, 2007 (Invited talks and contributed posters).
PDF file of poster abstracts (4.7 MB PDF)
PDF file of invited talk abstracts (1.8 MB PDF)
Both invited talks and contributed posters will use the same abstract format.
Abstracts are strictly limited to one page.
Due to space limitations, one abstract per registrant can be accepted. If
space remains, a second abstract will be considered. Please indicate in your
email message which abstract is your primary submission (if submitting more
than one).
POSTER PREPARATION
Please size your poster to fit in a 1.2 m × 1.2 m space,
post it before 2 p.m. Monday, and leave it up through Wednesday afternoon.
The main poster space in the employee lounge must be cleared before Thursday morning.
Time is allocated in the program specifically for poster viewing from 4:00-5:30 p.m.
on Monday, but the lounge will be open all day from Monday-Wednesday for optional
additional viewing during coffee breaks, lunch hour, etc.
Instructions for submission of abstracts for posters and talks:
- Prepare a 1 page abstract following the same format to be used for
the papers associated with the invited talks (see
Instructions for
preparation of your manuscript to obtain an MS Word template,
click the link for "6x9 single column"; ignore "keywords" and everything
below the end of the abstract).
Note that these abstracts are for inclusion in the registration packet; it
is not intended that they will be printed in the published proceedings, so
copyright forms etc., are not necessary. Invited speakers should prepare
this abstract for their talk; they will have a chance to prepare a
separate abstract for their papers (see "proceedings" link on the this conference web
site).
- Save your abstract using your last name as the filename, and (if possible)
using pdf format (example: smith.pdf). If you are using Mac OSX, and have
Adobe Acrobat installed, you should be able to do this as follows: under
the "file" pulldown menu, select "print" then click the pdf button in the
lower left corner of the dialog window, then select "save as pdf."
If you cannot save the abstract in pdf format, send it in Word format, or
LaTeX, however pdf is strongly preferred to insure that your abstract
appears as you intended in the printed copy.
- Email the abstract as an attachment to with the word
ABSTRACT in the subject line.
- Please indicate in the text of the email message if the work will be
presented by a student. A final decision as to whether or not poster
prizes will be awarded will be made based on the number of student
posters.
Following the January 15 deadline, we will confirm receipt and acceptance of
your abstract. If you do not receive a confirmation by January 19, please
inquire to apip@nist.gov with the words
"ABSTRACT INQUIRY" in the subject line.
